There are two things that are 100% true about the game industry. Game hardware has gotten much more sophisticated over the years, and games have grown in complexity with them. That second half of the above statement is one Nintendo is apparently keenly aware of.

During Nintendo’s Q&A with investors following their fiscal results briefing, Nintendo took a moment to discuss the current and future state of software development. Game development is already a laborious affair, and Nintendo believes the challenges and time required to build games is going to grow from here on out.
